Maybe if we stopped supplying East Kilbride (which is a separate city altogether) from Glasgow – that might help for a start – there must be at least 6 different services run here – why – they have their own council and if they want buses to Glasgow why dont they supply them. You can get a bus to Ayr which takes 40 mins quicker than you get to the other side of town. Where i live you use to be able years ago to get in town for 9p now you have to fork out £ 4 50 with talk of it going up to £5 – what we really need in my area where we have been left with a 12 and 56 compared to the 4 services which we had years ago going to various parts of the city is competition for First Bus - ive never been on filthier buses in all my life . I stay 10 mins by car from town and they have squeezed that many bus stops on to the route it takes an hour to get to town on a good day if the bus is reasonably empty – its a disgrace and a rip off
