Your say in making the buses better
Too add to my earlier post…
I also noted that all of the First buses have adverts inside the buses advertising ‘full day tickets’ and various ticketing options that offer ‘unlimited’ travel. There is no small print on these adverts to indicate these ticket options are not valid on evening buses.
This is either (a) complete and utter ignorance on First Buses behalf and another example of a poorly executed fare rise (following on from their previous introduction of the ‘short hop’ fare that was advertised as being up to 5 stops – though actually turned out to be 4 stops on most routes).
or (b) First bus are deliberately misleading customers with wording that completely misrepresents the service that is actually received.
How can a company with the resources of First not coordinate their fleet in a timely manner to change misleading fare advertising? I can’t think of any other company that would get away with this level of incompetence.
I’m tempted to contact trading standards and perhaps First Buses corporate bosses. I’m starting to think perhaps the UK First executives don’t realise that the bosses in Glasgow are running the bus service into the ground. Maybe they would be interested to know???
