Better Buses

South Scotland

I live in Ayr and I only use my local bus service occasionally. This is mainly due to it’s frequency (twice an hour), it’s time keeping (it’s sometimes early and other times 10/15 minutes late, and cost. The cost is a big issue for me, it’s £2.65 single for a short journey (4-5 miles) into the town, but from there I can then get bus to Glasgow (80 miles round trip) for £10.50 return! The drivers (with the odd exception) are generally miserable and quite unhelpful, especially if you don’t have exact change.
