Glasgow
Buses should be run with industry and hospitals in mind a patients need them for appointments.
Glasgow is cut in half from Partick; no bus to Springburn, Easterhouse, Ruchazie, East Kilbride or Balmore.
The number 20 is now the 20 to George Square and 21 to East Kilbride. In Hope Street there are 3 number 23 buses to Summerston, Blairclarke and Erskine, all different destinations. There are 4 number 38 buses with the same problem.
Should you take a 19 or 11 from west regent street on Sunday morning you will find visitors to Glasgow rely on bus numbers rather than the destinations so it is important that there is not the confusion that we currently see.
I have asked about the timetables on Bus Shelters which are out of date; the 16 and 18 are both listed on shelters in Sauchihall Street despite them stopping a year ago! I was told that it is the Regional Council’s responsibility to keep these timetables up to date.
This is not all that confuses people about these
you will get:
945(1) 954 (2) 1018 (3) 1025(2) 1030 (1) on a timetable but nowhere printed on the timetable does it say what the (1), (2) and (3) are meant to mean.
We are recruiting guides for the Commonwealth games to tell us which bus goes to where, but part of the time we don’t know and we live here!
Please try to print warnings of marches as buses are diverted and you just give up waiting.
In closing, I would like to end on a positive note, McGills have improved on the Arrivia service after taking over.
