First’s “simpliCITY” drive has just done away with the leg of the #9 service that links the city centre to the west end, meaning there’s now no direct bus link between the south-west of Glasgow where I live and the West End where I work. Their suggestion is that I… Continue reading…

At a Public Inquiry held Traffic Commissioner on 24th June SPT refused to answer questions on their actions leading up to “termination weekend” in November 2012 when they switched their funding from MacEwans to Stagecoach. During the morning session they repeatedly refused to answer questions about why the change of… Continue reading…

I live in Ayr and I only use my local bus service occasionally. This is mainly due to it’s frequency (twice an hour), it’s time keeping (it’s sometimes early and other times 10/15 minutes late, and cost. The cost is a big issue for me, it’s £2.65 single for a… Continue reading…

I thought I would give First some time to bed in the changes before I commented. I’d say now is a fair time to judge this overhaul of the Glasgow network. Positives: – More effort to engage with customers (on twitter at least). However, most complaints are met with a… Continue reading…

First have managed to go from having a terrible service from the East to West of Glasgow to having none at all. In addition to no service, they also have no joined up transfer ticket. So from home to work – less than 4 miles – would now cost £3.80… Continue reading…

More frequent service on the new 4a route. When half hourly waiting time can be prohibitive especially when one fails to arrive. A shorter route might make for more reliability in keeping to timetable too. Maybe some improvement in springing of older bus stock. Can get very bumpy.… Continue reading…

Stop free newspapers on all buses as it is not the first time someone has had an accident due to the lack of cleanliness on first buses. Drivers are responsible for the vehicle and safety of passenger something that needs To be policed. As far as you talking to First… Continue reading…

Hi Patrick, I haven’t used the bus since before the simplicity network was launched. Although I drive a car but I use the bus sometimes to go into town. I completely think that the simplicity network is confusing a lot of passengers across the city. They are cutting down a lot… Continue reading…

Yesterday I stood at the stop shown as CC in the new FirstBus Map and Guide as a stop for the new 38C (prev. 36). When the bus arrived (10min. late) it almost didn’t stop as the driver drove slightly past indicating that this wasn’t the correct bus stop. When… Continue reading…
