Will First Bus reimburse me for my 10 week bus ticket that I bought when it included use of the night bus? You can’t take away a key part of the service with only 4 weeks warning when someone has just bought a 10 week ticket. What an insult. £2… Continue reading…

Right now I’d settle for First’s management simply showing some sign of listening to us — of acknowledging passengers’ constructive complaints; of engaging in dialogue with their customers; of showing some indication that they treat us with anything other than disdain. I shall watch this campaign with interest.… Continue reading…

Would it really be asking a lot for First to give some explanation, and maybe even say sorry, when they turf everyone out of the bus and tell us to wait for the next one? Instead of just shouting “Youse have all tae get aff”.… Continue reading…

FirstBus need to understand that not everyone has a perfect understanding of the geography of Glasgow’s suburbs. If I don’t know where Eaglesham or Mountblow are, how am I supposed to know if a bus is going the direction I need? It’s impossible to plan a journey. I often find… Continue reading…

As I’ve said in comments elsewhere on the site, many problems could be solved by having a more intelligent 21st century approach to routes. On the London underground, you don’t get on a tube and expect it to take you to your destination – you get on one that takes… Continue reading…

After being forced to overpay on the bus today for the millionth time (because my stop is not near any shops and I never have the correct change), something occurred to me that I would really like cleared up. Do bus companies pay taxes on the money collected that is… Continue reading…

Glasgow has been left with one main bus operator who are not concerned with the needs of passengers. They can charge whatever fare they choose and the passenger has no say in the matter. If there was competition from other bus companies, fares would drop and better services would come… Continue reading…

I really enjoyed reading that article slating Firstbus in The Herald.   It basically tore apart their catastrophic pricing structure, poor fleet and customer service. It provided evidence to show that First were trying to squeeze existing customers to make up for lack of profitability. What has ended up happening though… Continue reading…

I live in Garrowhill and work at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The 213 service was replaced with the 38E under simplicity. At first the new service was okay, but now the 38E is very rarely on time , and Firstbus have reverted to their old practice of using older less reliable… Continue reading…
